Smart Coat Painting

I would strongly recommend staying far away from this painting company. They painted our community at Shoma, and the quality of work has been extremely disappointing. The job appears rushed and unprofessional. Issues observed include: Painting over dirt and leaves without proper surface cleaning Paint applied directly into vegetation and landscaping Painting around posted paper notices instead of removing them Using homeowners’ garden hoses without permission Little to no visible evidence of proper surface preparation or priming The end result looks sloppy, uneven, and poorly finished. I received a strong recommendation from a lifelong friend and college fraternity brother who never settles for the false choice between cost and quality. He is president of his condo association in Palm Beach Gardens. Smart Coat provided a remote estimate for my single family home, presumably based on square footage and on line photos. The price seemed extremely reasonable but I took the extra step of asking a SC rep to verify the bid in person. Incidentally, this person is one of their owners. He drove up, spent 20 minutes walking around the property and essentially verified the bid, which I insisted would cover the minor cosmetic wood trim repairs/patching. Highest possible recommendation! These folks did a superb job painting my 89 unit, 6 building condo community. They were highly professional, considerate, hard working, finished the job ahead of schedule, at a fair price… and most importantly the buildings look great!
