South Parking Hourly

Ugh, the Hartsfield parking is a complete disaster and ripoff. Their machines in daily and economy are always down, when you're in a rush, stuck in line, trying to get into your flight. If you're lucky enough when stuck to have a person to answer "why", they redirect you to hourly at an exorbitant amount above the normal rate, and no way they honor the rates they should have charged had their machines worked. Plus there are many open spots in the daily and economy but they cannot get people into the lots. It's incredibly frustrating for one of the largest airports in the country. Charging us $75 per day because of your system problems is completely unacceptable. We will never park at the airport again; Ubers only and airport should get none of the benefit again.

Worst airport parking experience. The pay machines are always broken, infrastructure is going downhill despite so-called “renovations.” It is so understaffed that we spent more than hour with all cars waiting to exit during Thanksgiving, one of the busiest holidays of the year. I am never going to park at the airport.

I wished i saw the review 4 months prior to mine. They literally have not fixed the 29/30 card expiration issue and I only have cards that expire then. I spent 30 minutes trying to leave on an empty day. Almost everyone had this issue and had to line up in the cashier lane. Mine and others had their ticket taken by the machine and had to wait for the cashier lane.

BE WARNED IN THE HOURLY LOT The machines are very old and if your credit card expires in 2029 or 2030 (maybe also 2028, not sure about that one), the machine will tell you your card has expired and eat your ticket. What follows depends on how busy it is. I had to wait 25 minutes for the supervisor to come walking over and pull my ticket from the machine (they unfortunately don't make it so that the person in the booth can actually do anything. She had to call the supervisor three times and we had to wait for 25 minutes for the supervisor to come over). I realize they have a monopoly on parking, so people will continue to park there. Just wanted share the tidbit on making sure your card isn't too new for those old machines. Good luck!

So much better for pickup now that they charge $20 an hour. Keeps all the travelers from parking there and leaving their cars!
