Perfect place for the Alcatraz pier. 5 min walk, and safer than the street. Just a photo about 2 mins away, and very close to the boarding dock. Didn't plan to visit again, but if I do, this is where I'll be.

Best parking option if you are going to Alcatraz island ! We were looking for a safe parking option to leave our rental car as we heard there have been numerous break-ins in the last couple of months, and on street parking was not an option for us. Several "secure car parks" had extortionate rates anywhere from $12USD per hour to $60USD per day. I came across this car park and noticed Google maps has marked it as "closed" on the weekends, I was about to look away until I saw a recent review with a photo of the opening times and prices and thought about giving it a try on a weekend....it was OPENED and it was quite a BARGAIN! ($20USD for the whole day) The car park was mostly empty, it was clean, felt safe and its in a great location.

As of end of April 2019, it's still $20 all day for weekends, exit by 10pm. Can fit a mini van or MPV. Cheapest if you have a tour to Alcatraz and strolling along Pier 39 for more than two hours.

Got to experience the most famous things in sf today in this pathetic garage. That too on my last day here. Car got broken into and they took all my stuff. There were a total of 0 attendants in this garage! Never coming back to this city again.

We parked here to take the ferry to Alcatraz. It was early on a Saturday morning, so the parking lot was nearly empty and we had no issues finding a spot. You just have to cross the street to reach the pier. Payment is made through a mobile app. Unfortunately, we had some trouble exiting because the gate didn’t recognize our license plate, but the security staff assisted us and helped us get out.
