Specialty Coatings removed some nasty old oil based stain off my log home and recoated with new semi transparent stain. Jason consulted with several log home stain suppliers to determine the best method for removing the old stain so as not to damage the logs. This involved a specific stripping product, power washing and sanding. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. The office staff and workers were great to work with. My log home is 44 years old and looks better than ever. This company is top notch. They also stripped and stained my deck that is 30 years old and it looks great. Go with Specialty Coatings. During early 2024, I began researching contractors to stain and repair my house with cedar siding. I reached out to many contractors - some of which did not return my phones calls. I ended up with four estimates out of approximately ten contacts. I ultimately chose to partner with Specialty Coatings Painting Contractors Inc. Angie, their administrative assistant was quick to return my call and schedule Jason to come out and look at the project. Jason was extremely knowledgeable about my house in particular but also with the care of cedar siding and wood homes. He also had multiple professional contacts to assist with the carpentry work that needed to be done to the siding and deck. The quote for the job was extremely fair. The painters did a very good job on our decks, garage doors and roof Any concerns I had were addressed immediately with great results. Very pleased with the finished product.
