Spokane Ace Hardware

This will be my last time shopping at this location. I understand the store is dealing with theft issues, but having every tool, bit, and driver locked up creates a terrible shopping experience. Needing employee assistance just to buy a $6 drill bit is unreasonable, and having the clerk walk it to the counter as if I might steal it was frustrating and unnecessary. I’m sure the employee was simply following new policy, but that doesn’t make the experience any better. I live equal distance between this store and the newer Home Depot. I spent over $300 at Home Depot yesterday and never once felt like a suspect while shopping. I strongly recommend investing in proper store security instead of putting the burden on honest customers. At this point, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Goodbye

I stopped by the South Hill location and was told they don’t have a machine to cut my keys, but that the Monroe store does. Since I was driving to work near the airport, I made the extra stop at the Monroe store. When I asked, they confirmed they do have the machine, but refused to cut the keys and told me to go to a locksmith. Honestly, if I wanted a locksmith, I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to your store in the first place. You say “support local,” but after this experience, I really don’t know how to support you. Very disappointing.

I always enjoy going there to grab odds & ends. The Staff is always asking me what they can help find or put together? Unlike the larger outlets. Where let's face it. Most floor associates have absolutely no idea 💡 what their talking about and have little to zero knowledge of hardware. I admit for some things I spend ah little more. But can you really put a price on excellent customer service & peace of mind?

Have come here numerous times since moving back to Spokane 2 years ago. Every time I have been greeted as I entered. Have always been asked if I need help finding anything, which I almost always do! As a woman, I am used to being ignored in hardware stores, auto parts stores, etc. I have yet to feel ignored here. Phil even went out of his way to try to find me some lights in a completely different section of the store. Was told about seasonal return policy before I even paid, which was extremely helpful. They continue to earn my business.

Had the nicest interaction with two employees today at this Ace Hardware in Spokane’s lower South Hill. Thank you Ryan and J- - -t (I didn’t get your full name! So sorry!!) Anyway, thanks for the friendly help… made my day to go in there!
