Long time customer, have always had great service and few issues. I will sometimes miss putting my trash cans out before the drivers gets to my house, and our driver always looks inside the cans (which are set aside) and will empty them even if they aren't out yet. This week we had birds get into a can and make a mess, and Mike (driver) told me to let him get the mess cleaned up. He then got out of his truck and helped pick it all up and put my cans back to the side. This is really appreciated and not part of his job. It's so nice to see that he cares about his customers and people on the route.

Had my septic pumped, the driver was rude and didn't do a good job at all. Was there literally 15 minutes and did not do a complete job. Broke my cover for the left tank and said nothing. Called the company and heard nothing but lies. They did nothing but give excuses, and it was not done right by a driver with a bad attitude. Never again.

Three weeks ago, the Shirley Septic crew broke our trash can. We reported it the same day and were told to leave it out for replacement. A week passed with no action. We followed up and were again told to leave it out, and that management would be in touch. That same week, someone from their crew went through our trash, removed items, and left them at the bottom of our driveway—creating a hazard that nearly caused vehicle damage. Found out today they did the same thing to our neighbor... Just today. It is now week three. The broken can remains untouched, and no one from management has contacted us. After speaking with others, it’s clear this kind of experience isn’t unique. Proceed with caution—this company has shown itself to be consistently unresponsive and unreliable at best. Negligen

Review is specifically in regards to trash service. I've not used any of their other services, and cannot comment on them. We decided to use SSP for our trash service when me moved in because they offered down-the-driveway pickup. It was an awesome service, and set them apart from the competition. Unfortunately, the old owner passed away and the company was brought under new management. They kept up the down-the-driveway service up for a while, but then stopped doing it "for the winter" and just never started it again. So now the only reason we went with them is gone. They had a recycling calendar page on their website that's been sitting at "New Updated Calendar Coming Soon" for months, so you have to make sure you keep track of which week is recycling week - the only other way to chec

Probably not a great choice to go with for trash service. Stuck because they are in contract with our HOA, but if you have any other option, I would do that. Trucks dump oil and hydraulic fluid on your streets, can’t recycle most recyclables, and for some reason they either have to kick over your trash bins after they empty it, or just leave your lids and open which isn’t the most pleasant experience during/after snow and rain storms.
