State Street Car Park

The parking lot next to River Street was full, so I parked here and found Saturday parking very cheap, just $5 for the whole day. Regular cars (not EV) can park from the 3rd floor onwards. There's plenty of parking, but the elevators on both sides are unavailable, so you have to walk up and down several floors (from what I've read in reviews, the elevators haven't worked for years).

Was visiting Savanna for the weekend and found this parking deck. For the whole day $5 parking on Saturday. Easy access for walking around downtown. Only issue it’s tight, take your time driving through.

This is a convenient city parking garage to access the Broughton Street area. However, it is not handicap accessible: all the elevators are in disrepair and have been for many months. I particularly like that they added more electric car charging stations, however, they have not repaired the broken ones and they heavily enforce the three hour limit despite city vehicles taking up these spots 5:30pm-8:30am and most weekends, curtailing patron use far more than someone over staying their charge by a half hour.

While this garage seems safe and the parking fee is acceptable, I feel that the spaces are much to small for full-size vehicles. Perhaps, in addition to the hanging bar at the entrance that represents the maximum vertical clearance, there should also be a pole mounted on each side of the entrance that represents the width of the parking spaces. If you can comfortably maneuver your vehicle between them, then proceed. Cramming too many parking spaces into this garage just to maximize revenues is unrealistic a deceptive to customers. I had one inch of space between my front tire and a building column. On the other side, I had only minimal space between my vehicle and the next.

The fact that I got a Toyota tundra through there without totaling it and putting a sctach on it was purely amazing. 5 stars but damn bring a pruis!!!
