I spent a few weeks looking for the right company to give a professional, honest assessment of two large pecan trees at one of my rental property backyards. Brock and his team have come out to take care of trees now at two separate properties for us. Both times he has come out and given us a fair and honest and thorough quote that addressed what we needed. Brock is very knowledgeable not only about how to prune trees in a healthy way but also about what might need to be done in order to adhere to city requirements and things like that. He is quick to get the work done and he and his team clean up all brush and branches. He did our trees when we were out of town and besides the fact that the branches were trimmed beautifully it was like he was never there! All of this for a very affordable price. I can't recommend these guys enough! I see why they were so highly recommended in neighborhood forums in the Schertz/Cibolo area. They were extremely professional and friendly from initial call to cleaning up after the job was done. Brock came out for quote walkthrough and was very knowledgeable and made the decision to pick Steel Root an easy one. Their prices were fair and their work and timeliness was great. I love that they took the time to address my concerns and kept me in the loop throughout the process, always prioritizing the health of the trees like I asked. I will definitely be referring my family and friends to them for their tree trimming needs.

I hired Steel Roots Tree Services to cut and clean up a GIANT hackberry tree that split in half and fell in my yard, to cut back a 500-foot long line of brush that was overtaking my driveway, and trim up some other large trees that were overhanging fence lines and had been dropping branches. Brock and his team completed this work in less than a week, and communicated with me every step of the way. They also accommodated my request to leave the firewood-sized pieces behind instead of paying to haul them off. Brock is knowledgeable about how to keep trees in good health and not take off too much of the tree at once. Excellent experience all around, I'll definitely use them again in the future!

My wife and I were very pleased with the work Brock and his crew did for us. They were knowledgeable of which trees & branches were and weren't viable, explained exactly what needed to be done, and carried out the job with skill. The trees look fantastic, we don't fear dead branches falling on our heads, and he went above and beyond with the cleanup.
