Our Vermont green slate roof is in pretty good condition. However, the roof ridge cement was turning to dust and the original 1937 chimney flashing was on its last leg. We also needed the chimney cap to be addressed as previous repairs were not done correctly. Stewart’s Slate Roofing provided a comprehensive proposal and a timeline almost immediately. Ben shared photos of the progress he and his crew made each day. They showed great care for our home and surrounding landscaping and everything was spotless when they left at the end of the day. We had a few proposals and Stewart’s Slate Roofing recommended what needed to be addressed ASAP and what could wait on. We are grateful to have found a company that takes such pride in their work. True artisans!

Ben and his crew are the real deal. If you need slate roofing work done and want it done right, these guys are your go to. They installed gutters on the front and back of my house, repointed/rebuilt my chimney and added copper flashing, found an unanticipated issue and completely fixed my slate front porch, replaced a few mismatched slates on my main roof and even fixed the slate roof on an old outhouse on my property so I can use it as a small shed. The work is excellent, I’ve already had many compliments on it. These guys were punctual and fast. Ben will keep you informed every step of the way.

Hands down one of the best contractor experiences I’ve ever had! Excellent communication throughout the estimate, scheduling and project completion. Ben took time to explain what needed to be done and patiently answered questions. He kept us informed throughout the process of getting my 2 chimneys repaired and provided progress pictures. They were very respectful of my property and completed everything on schedule. The craftsmanship for this project is top notch. They custom fabricated copper and provided masonry repair. Skilled, caring and professional- Can not recommend enough. Our roof was very rusty and in a poor state and now it looks amazing!
