Stokes Lock and Key

Went there in the morning and the they were not opened. Went back in the afternoon to have common keys cut and he quoted $25.00 per key. It would cost $250.00 for the 10 keys that needed to be duplicated. I guess since he has no competition in the area he feels he can rip people off. I will get them cut in North Charleston next week. I make that trip frequently, so, it isn't a big deal to get them done elsewhere.

Went 5 different times, owner always late, daily. Guy talks to much. Customers waiting, had a 10 minute conversation with former customer while I needed keys made, finally walked out. Short handed, Sir, to run a business, you're only as good as your next customer. Sir, you are always late to open, I drove 30 miles to have my 5 keys made, won't be back

Robert was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about his trade. He gave me time to explain my individual circumstance (which was elaborate) and he walked me through things he did not have to and because of this helped me realize I was barking up the wrong tree- all at no charge- which saved me a ton of money. Reccomend 100%. Honest, small town business here.

I called Stokes as soon as my key fob stopped working altogether and was talked through many different steps to help me get back in my car manually. Katie and Robert were really helpful and explained what they were doing while strategizing what could help. My car keys are working again thanks to them both.

After trying to find a dealer or locksmith to replace or make a key for my 2014 Chevrolet Spark I had the local Chevy dealer in Hinesville cut a key with key fob. They have a sign posted in the parts department that says they do not refund and do not garentee that any key made  will work. Which they were right the key the parts department cut didn't work at all, unlocking any doors...nothing. That was a waste of money for the service and  key / key fob. So I located a locksmith in Walterboro, SC about 2 hours from Hinesville one way. Mr. Robert ensured me that he would do his best to help me. After arriving he worked tirelessly for the entire day into the evening trying to program a key fob to be reconized by the cars onboard computer. Which for one reason or another didn't work out but hi
