Once we determined which direction we were going in, the SLDR team executed the structural designs needed and dealt directly with the Portland building department. When we reached out to Straight Line, the company owner himself visited our house and patiently listened to my vision as I described our needs. He then proceeded to reiterate my thoughts and ideas, applying his own construction remodeling knowledge to them. Straight Line did a large project for me. They tore down my detached garage and built a 600 sqft. ADU in its place. The whole process went smoothly and efficiently, and the end result was an absolutely magnificent ADU. I've been renting it on Airbnb and every single guest has left feedback about what an amazing space it is. I think it might be the coolest ADU of its type and size in Portland! Matt and his crew are really the best when it comes to making spaces that are unique and personalized to your specific function and your style. And they're just super nice and calm people, which is a huge plus when you're dealing with a large project, which can be a stressful experience.
