Surner Heating Company is phenomenal. I’m currently away from home with the military and my dryer crapped out on my wife so we decided to have a propane tank and propane lines installed so that we could upgrade to a propane dryer. I was stressed about not being home to deal with the situation, but Surner alleviated that stress for me. Both Jessica and Anne in the office were very polite and kept me in the loop on the install. Technicians Tom and Joe showed up to do the install and my wife told me they were great! Both guys were well prepared with everything they needed to complete the install in an efficient and timely manner. They also answered any and all questions that my wife had. 10/10 recommend Surner Heating Company!
Surner heating delivered today, Saturday. Last Monday was a huge snowstorm and they were behind on deliveries due to demand and time it takes delivering in the snow. The delivery man appreciated my husband clearing a path to the fill pipe (cleared a path when I called it in Wednesday). I really appreciated the delivery as I was running low as my usage is higher in the cold. It is comforting to know a people friendly company that delivers so fast. I also have my system cleaned by them and have never had an issue.
After living in South FL my entire adult life, I moved back to the area this summer. I know basically how an oil furnace works, but I've never owned one. Despite some unkind reviews online, I decided to try Surner because I see their trucks in the neighborhood, and their price for oil on the Surner Discount website was unbeatable... So I took a chance... I called the office and a super-helpful lady explained the process and set me up.The very next day a rep showed up to inspect my tank so I could place an order online. Super responsive! Two days later, the tank was filled. This fall I scheduled a cleaning/tune-up. There were no appointments until about 6 weeks out from when I called, but that's because EVERYONE gets a cleaning done in the fall, apparently. No worries. On the appointed day
We spoke with a customer service representative that informed us we needed to speak with the owner Susan Surner about an issue we had with service. We left Susan several messages that went unanswered, including messages with her office staff. We finally heard from the service manager who told us he talked to Susan, she said there was nothing she would do in regards to a recent bill. It was only after we decided to dispute the charges from Surner, that we were able to speak to Susan and service manager Scott. Once on the phone, it became apparent that she lacks basic customer service skills. She was rude and tried to bully her way out of the situation with Scott by her side.
Good place to buy oil, but don't get service from them. I prepaid for the service (different price than listed on the website), I had the first appointment of the day at 8:00 (between 8 & 8:30) started calling around 8:45 and no one knew why he wasn't there yet, he showed up after 9:30. Then after the service I got another bill for extra work he did without asking. Maybe I just don't know how it works, I'm a new homeowner, but I was told it included filters, then was billed for filters (apparently air filters aren't included but they don't ask before charging a premium price for them). I've spoken to multiple customer service reps and left messages for managers, I finally spoke with a manager who basically said, well that's how it works.
