We hired Szeles for our renovation/addition. John was very responsive from the start, providing a detailed proposal within a day or two of our first meeting. He answered all of our questions timely and took the time to meet with us multiple times prior to the commencement of our project. The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, with clear attention to detail. John and his team provided very thoughtful and useful suggestions throughout the project, most of which we went forward with. They were very responsive to change orders and flexible as the project evolved, clearly explaining options, costs, and timelines. John also provided references for other areas of the project such as appliance installation and everyone he recommended did a great job. Pricing was fair and transparent,

John and his team completed a total renovation of our downstairs bathroom and our home office. Not only did they do a fantastic job but John and his crew were flexible with us on several design elements and gave us honest input on our options to make sure we were making the right cost-benefit decisions for us, not just suggesting what would be most lucrative for them. We plan on using them for our next renovation and would recommend without reservation.

John and his team were amazing- from start to finish, they made our dream home possible. They took our ideas and ‘wish list’ and turned it into a reality— demo’ing our entire second floor and building a brand new one that met our growing family’s needs (more space- new bedrooms including a master suite, new bathrooms, laundry room, and a new front porch). Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were incredible- best decision of our home owning lives.

After a bad experience with another contractor, we hired Szeles Construction for our wrap around porch renovation and new construction of a 3 car garage. From the very beginning, John was patient with all of our questions, explained the process, what we could expect and was clear about the timelines. The quality of work has exceeded our expectations. John and his crew were really easy to work with the entire job, starting with the initial discussion we had about the work we were looking to have done through some last minute tweaks we wanted toward to the end. His proposal was clear, succinct, and easy to understand. John and his team communicate very well during the job so there's no surprises. John did two of our bathrooms a few years ago and more recently we hired him again to convert a screened-in porch to an office. He does great work. And perhaps more importantly for this kind of investment in our home, we totally trust him.
