We are remodeling an 80-year-old home. There were sagging floors and some had bounce. The wood beam and wood post foundation was decomposing. John and the team provided a reasonably priced scope of work for the required repairs. Gary and his crew removed the house’s flooring systems. They replaced deteriorated beams and reinstalled with an extremely well built system. They encapsulated the crawlspace and installed equipment to manage moisture. It was a considerable amount of work and they finished the project in just 12-days. We are still in shock at what they accomplished in that short amount of time. I recommend Tar Hill for anyone requiring foundation/crawlspace repairs. Thank you Tar Hill!

I’m editing this review: Original work done in August 2025, it’s now November 2025 and had some concerns from having duct replacement and workers having been through replacing ducts. Zack came out with Micah and fixed everything up and assured us the warranty would cover any other problems like this. I feel confident Tar Heel will do what they promise in their warranty! The crawlspace is extremely clean - no smells and very comfortable temperature and humidity. My team Gary Hacker, Aidan Bennett and Micah Miller are top notch professionals! They took a nasty crawl space and made it AWESOME! These men arrived on time worked constantly and got the job done with a very courteous manner. I am writing this review to express my complete dissatisfaction with the services provided by Tarheel Basement Systems. My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing from start to finish, and the condition of my home has worsened significantly since their involvement. When Tarheel Basement Systems first began work on my property, I had only a small exterior crack and a few minor interior cracks. However, after multiple visits from their team, my yard developed a large hole, which they refused to repair or take responsibility for. Eventually, they returned and recommended installing additional support pillars beneath my home—yet they expected full payment before completing this new work. From the annual inspection, Nick suggested we consider adding foundation wall insulation in the crawlspace as we did not have any under the flooring and we did have this on our list to check into. He was professional and thorough. Now the hard part, the install...team was lead by Nestor Bautista and they were on time, explained/showed exactly what they would do and how. They were all friendly, professional, cleaned up completely and finished a bit quicker than expected. Nestor then walked us through the install and provided pictures of all the crawl space areas. Now the payoff, felt almost immediately warmer in den area and am sure this will provide more efficient HVAC for us.
