Tess is an absolute master in her craft. If I had a painting worth millions to restore, she’d be the only one I would trust with it. In my case, I inherited a 95 year old oil on canvas piece my Grandmother in Italy painted while pregnant with my Father. It’s extremely sentimental to me and my family. After decades of displaying and 2 years in storage because of a move, the colors were incredibly dim, insects got to the back of the canvas and pieces of it were falling off every time we picked it up. It was deteriorating before my eyes. Another local restoration company wouldn’t even touch it and suggested they make a copy of it for me to display. I recently inherited a 19th century pastoral landscape that was in need of restoration. The painting had a small hole in the canvas, an area of scuffed canvas, and the canvas was brittle and breaking around the edges. I brought the painting to Tess and was very pleased with the restoration work she performed. She relined the canvas and fixed the damaged areas. The paint match up over the damaged areas is so good I cannot tell where those two areas even were. If you have a painting in need of restoration, I recommend taking it to her.
