Texas Medical Center Public Parking Garage 1

Hospital parking fees are outrageous. People are already going through so much emotionally and financially, and then they’re hit with sky high parking costs on top of it. Overnight rates should absolutely have a cap. Profiting off people during some of the hardest moments of their lives is just wrong.

The Parking Garage is ight it’s was confusing when where to go and trying find your vehicle. The prices are very reasonable not to high not to low.

As a first-time mother, I was terrified when my son was bitten by a dog. After a terrible experience at another ER, we ended up at Houston Methodist, and I’m so grateful we did. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth, compassion, and professionalism. The front desk staff made me laugh through my tears, and the nurses were incredible. At one point, four nurses and his grandma gently held him while cleaning his wound, and he was loving the attention — smiling and blushing the whole time! One nurse even made him a balloon glove, which made him giggle even more. Even the billing process was handled with kindness. Every person we met made a scary night feel lighter. Thank you, Houston Methodist, for taking care of both of us — I’ll never forget it. 💙

Pulled in driving my tundra and had to pull right back out after my shark fin antenna was scraping. Says 6"4 height but may be less. This is Texas! A factory height truck should be able to fit!

If you are visiting Methodist Hospital, Garage 1 and Garage 7 are the best parking locations. Garage 1 is located at the intersection of Fannin and Dryden - immediately south of the Methodist Hospital main entrance. Parking spaces are hard to find on weekdays. If you go all the way to the top of the garage and can't find a spot, don't be discouraged. 😞 You will probably find one on the way down. 😊 It's expensive to park in any of the TMC Parking Garages. Plan on spending $10 for 2-4 hours of parking. It is what it is.
