The Ground Up

I had 5 yards of leaf mulch compost delivered to my home. Giselle and Priscilla were friendly and professional getting my order. The young lady with the nice nails and big smile knew how to handle the truck. She dumped it exactly where I wanted it. Thanks for taking such good care of me!

We stopped at the Ground Up to get some pricing on a backyard zeroscape renovation we were wanting to do and ended up purchasing everything on the spot. The staff was amazing! They had great recommendations for us, had information on how to take measurements of the space, and even had ways of improving/helping us with our dream. We spent months looking at different pricing for sand, gravel, edging, and weed barrier and The Ground Up was the most convenient, price conscious, delivered to our home, and overall just easy to work with. Their premium compost contains more chips than a decent compost as opposed to what they advertise on their website (3/8 inch). Don’t know how they sifting process went through but it’s just crap.. Not worth the price and better look elsewhere if you don’t want your bed’s nitrogen be robbed by these wood chips for decomposition…

In the past I had done business with this company, the staff was friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. Last week I went to buy mulch and Patty who works there as customer support, was rude and not willing to help or answer any of my questions. Not sure what is going on with the staff, but I would be taking my business to another company.

This was my first visit to this facility, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When I arrived to drop off tree limbs, an employee named Jeannette approached me in a very disrespectful manner. Instead of greeting me or providing guidance, she immediately criticized my driving speed (I was going around 10 mph and unaware of the speed limit we are supposed to drive here). Her tone was rude and unprofessional. She also told me how to park and stood right next to me while I was unloading, continuing to argue and even saying, “I don’t care, call and make a complaint.” I attempted to reach the manager, Josh, but he did not answer. As a business owner myself, I know the importance of treating customers with respect. We are paying to use this service and should not feel unwel
