One of my best contractor experiences! Last winter the inducer motor on our 14 year old furnace stopped working (I may have inadvertently cut the power to the house mid cycle- don't do this!). We used space heaters for months while trying to figure out the best course of action. Two other companies came and took a look. They told us they could fix it for $3,000 or we could buy a new system for $10,000+. We were able to secure a used inducer motor online from a reputable seller for $300 but couldn't quite DIY install it. We used The Heating and Cooling Company roughly 15 years ago for a central air install to our home. We have upgraded to an all gas high efficiency heating and cooling system.
