If you are a DIY person this is the place to go for supplies and valuable information. One employee made me aware I needed to change from a Ballast to LED. He’s been at Home Depot for 12 years. Another employee, a US veteran helped me find a particular thin nail.

Home Depot in Asheville (especially the Fairview Rd store) is my regular stop for home stuff. Pros: Strong in-store selection and stock — like DeWalt cordless tools, Behr paints, pressure-treated lumber, mulch, and plants for our mountain yard. Super helpful associates, e.g., Roy in lumber or folks at the Pro Desk for Ryobi kits, Milwaukee tools, or bigger jobs. Staff often walks you to items and gives solid advice. Competitive prices, reliable tool rentals, easy in-store returns, and clean, well-organized stores. Cons: Delivery can be spotty. Busy times mean longer lines, especially weekends. Great for in-person shopping and local projects in the Asheville area. Skip delivery for heavy items if possible. Convenience and variety keep me coming back.

Recently, my husband and I went to this specific tore to gather information on replacing our apartment floors. We were lucky enough to meet PAUL, who demonstrated a high level of professionalism and was very welcoming and engaged with our project. He is precisely the kind of person we wanted to work with. I highly recommend this employee to the company.

Recently Moved to Asheville, been in store twice and will not return. Today I was at the return desk which had 2 employees waiting on 5 people in line. Young lady was frustrated and made me feel it with her attitude. After I completed transaction I went to lumber dept. plenty of help on the floor- not one person made eye contact or asked me if I needed help. Store is a mess and folks working there don’t seem to want to be there and it shows.

This review isn’t with the specific store. I ordered a smoker online January 21. It should have arrived around January 24 but was delayed with the winter weather we just got. Understandable. It is now January 29th. And I am being told it won’t be delivered unti 2/2. I asked if I could pick it up myself and was told that would delay it even further than another week out. Are we serious? Customer service is no help at all either. Next time I order something it sure won’t be from Home Depot that’s for sure.
