The Home Depot

Today I took my 2 sons to the Kids Workshop at Home Depot in Brunswick, Ga. There were staff members walking around the front entrance who were very welcoming and gave me great directions on where to go. The woman who was hosting/staffing the event was wonderful. I feel terrible I didn’t get names but she was a gem. Walked over to us, got us set up at a station, gave some helpful tips about constructing the craft, and was very sweet to my son who was a little nervous with all the loud hammering going on. Once we got going, I noticed she was very involved in helping all of the families, displaying patience and a kind, helpful attitude. Stopped at Home Depot to pick up Incandescent lightbulbs for my Thomas Kincaid collection. Long story short… Nikki (employee) walked over, asked if she could help. Lightbulbs don’t sound like a big deal, but the point I want to make is this young lady went out of her way to help me and ensure that I walked out with exactly what I needed. She quickly researched to make sure she was giving me the right product. Nikki was professional and personable which is essential for customer service. She was very positive and also had a great smile, which I noticed, as she interacted with me and other customers in close proximity. My wife and I trusted the paint department staff to provide accurate, reliable information on how to paint our driveway. As amateurs, we trusted them to be subject-matter experts on the products they sell. However, they were wrong, and our driveway is damaged. After speaking with real experts, we will have to spend thousands to repair it. We contacted a manager named Mike, who refunded the cost of the paint and products after we had to deal with the rude staff at the returns desk. We later contacted the corporate office and were advised that the store should have filed a claim with Sedgwick. The corporate office contacted Mike at the store, and he asked us to email him. I shop at the Home Depot in Brunswick quite frequently. Today, completely out of the blue, one of their team members approached me and just started loading my lumber. His name is Curtis and he seemed like a really nice fellow. I attempted to give him a tip once we were finished loading, but he refused and said that he was happy to help. Love seeing this kind of customer service. Keep it up Curtis!

Sydney, at Customer Service; Chad in Paint; and Kelly in faucets were all super helpful! So sweet and fast to help. The three ladies that were working at the cashier area were super nice and friendly. My hands were full so I couldn’t take a picture of them…. I want to say thank you because you made my visit efficient and productive. I love great customer service !!!!
