I’m giving this well-deserved five-star rating because of the outstanding experience I had today at the Home Depot in Daly City. Design Consultant Clarice Cruz was absolutely amazing. I didn’t know that a prior appointment was required to order a custom shower door, and I stopped by the store on my way to a long weekend trip with my daughter. Because of that, I truly could not return later. I arrived just 10 minutes before her next scheduled client and explained that this shower door was extremely important for my current project. Without hesitation and with genuine kindness, Clarice agreed to help me anyway. And just ten minutes later, with a warm smile, she said the words every customer hopes to hear: “You are all set.” In that very short time, she managed to select the perfect shower

I had a really good experience at the Home Depot - Westlake Center and want to give a shoutout to Marty in the Appliances department. I came in because the range hood I bought earlier didn’t have the right opening for my kitchen. Marty helped me research options, pulled up the instructions with me, and recommended an alternative in a similar price range that was actually more powerful and better suited for my space. He clearly knows the inventory, what sells well, and what customers are happy with long term. I never felt rushed or upsold. Instead, I felt guided toward an informed decision, which I really appreciated since I don’t buy appliances often. Here to give 11 stars to Katrina for her patience and help when we had to rent a truck. She is the only reason this review is remotely positive. That being said, the third party Clear website that Home Depot uses in the rental process warrants 2 stars…what a buggy mess that we were at the mercy of and took us more than an hour of our time. Also, the customer service counters should get at least one tap to pay device, as we had to try 3 different insert/swipe credit card readers in order to get our transaction to go through that morning

Don't buy from this store!! Totally unprofessional and rude. I bought some large storage bins for a move and assumed they would be delivered via an actual delivery company. Instead the bins were delivered by a random Uber driver and they threw the bins into the dirty entryway where we live. They didnt bother to ring the buzzer and the only way I knew they were there is because I checked my email. The bins were not in a box or wrapped or in a bag. I assumed they would be delivered UPS or Fed Ex. I dont appreciate they handed off my items to a random stranger who just threw my bins onto the dirty cement ground. When I called to complain and ask to return them I got transferred around until I was told the Daly City store did this. When I finally got a young obnoxious guy on the phone he said

I have spent A LOT of time in Home Depots over the last 25 years of my life. This was by FAR the best experience EVER!!!!! As I walked through the store employees asked people if they needed help finding things and were super nice and efficient. When I did need help the older gentlemen that helped me was super friendly and open. I also watched him help 2 other customers just as delightfully. Check out was great. Even the gentlemen in the parking lot were super awesome. I don't know what makes this store and it's employees so great but I hope it spreads! Thank you to everyone at the Daly City location for making my whole week!
