The Home Depot

Let me start by saying - my dad, my brother and my son have all worked for HD. How dissapointing to see 6 people standing around talking at the return desk and only self checkout registers. At least some locations have 1 register open by lumber. I guess someone can put away my product because I am not checking myself out. Do better DH's or whatever managers are called now. Your employees aren't earning their pay and customers are fed up.

Poor service. I went to return something I bought. The people at return and service did not appear to care at all. There were initially only me and another guy: I on the return side he on the service/pickup side and he was served. After a long wait the guy serving him left and another person came in and asked who was the next and went on to serve one guy just showed up on the other side after looking both ways, then he went on to ask who is next looking both way and served another guy in line on that side. I am not sure there was discrimination in his treatment of people, but did they put priorities on purchases over returns? This only happened to me in Home Depot on Lake Cook Road in Deerfield. Such kind of bad experience and feeling really affected my desire to shop there in the future.

Had a poor experience with a product and how some employees handled the return. However, Nancy over at the Pro Desk was fantastic at rectifying my issue and turning the situation around. She really put in an effort to make sure I was satisfied, and I'll keep coming back here because of it!

When I first got to the store Miguel was very helpful and showed me where to go, once I got there like always I asked a worker to help me cut a piece bc I’m not wearing the proper attire and this old white guy named Scott refused to help me and said I could cut it myself because until I asked for his name. He changed his entire demeanor and helped. This is the type of world we’re in now. Shame on you home depot

With all the different locations available, we always look forward to stopping by the Deerfield store when we’re in the area. It’s not just the location—the staff is great, and the contractor desk is always very helpful. Consistently a good experience.
