The Home Depot

Dear Home Depot. Please stop constantly rearranging your stores. Not only is it ridiculous to have to search high and low to find products I need (since your staff is mostly incompetent,) you have crap filling the aisles which makes it hard to maneuver carts. Surely somebody within the organization would think to make some changes to have a more fluid shopping experience.

I bought an outdoor shed from Home Depot on North Pleasantburg. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that the box was damaged. I took a video of it while I was at the store in front of cashier and just hoped everything inside was OK. I took it home, opened it up and found some damage. I made pictures of the damage as you see below. Several days later, I went back to Home Depot and talked to Michael at the return desk. I told him I couldn't bring it back because it was so bulky, 150+ lbs and besides that I assembled it and am using it. I just put some duct tape over the gash. I took some Flexseal tape from the store to the return desk and told Michael, we would be square if you just give me this for no cost so I could repair the shed properly. I was at his mercy. He said, "No problem!" And

I called this evening with hopes of finding a product that the website says is available at this store. However, it was not! There was an associate named steve in the garden department who walked me through steps that I am ever so grateful. Not only that, he recommended places that may have what I am needing for my home to be functional. Thank you so much to steve for his pleasant attitude and help.

I took a dried lid from a paint can and brought it in to have matched. I had a conversation with their so-called paint expert and he tried to tell me that the paint was flat. I said it looks like it has a sheen to it. He says oh no no that’s flat. So I took him out his word as they are supposed to be paint experts. Lo and behold when I get home and the paint dries, the touchup paint shouldn’t have been flat. It should’ve been eggshell. So I find another can that has a label on it from Lowe’s. Sure enough it says it’s eggshell. I bring the paint back to Home Depot And the old bat at the paint desk says it’s my fault that they sold me the wrong paint. Typical big box store...employees should be more knowledgeable in the departments that they work, in my personal opinion...but...it's Home Depot...you CAN find SOMEONE willing to help usually.
