The Home Depot

I would recommend not wasting your time coming here to buy a Christmas tree. I arrived around 6pm and waited 25 minutes with no one working the tree area. The cashier said she didn’t have a walkie-talkie and that the employee assigned to the area was “probably on break.” As the line grew, another employee was finally pulled over, and we were told the person responsible for the tree area had already left for the day. At 6pm, there was simply no one available to help customers. I wish i went to the Christmas tree lot on Park Street, where In prior years was helped immediately. Save yourself the frustration and support a smaller business that actually staffs their lot.

Just a quick stop to get some hooks to put my bikes on the wall. Was looking around and an employee asked if I needed help, and I did, he pointed me in the right direction and off I went and picked out 3 different heavy duty hooks, so will see which one works best and then exchange the other ones for the one that works. Was quiet and decent, no lines at self checkout... however, the register was unable to give me my full change, I got the coins but an employee had to get a single dollar bill from another register for me, which I thought was a bit weird seeing it was only about 8pm on a Saturday night.

They are trying to clean it up. Area out side now has a large fence and containers to keep the abandoned vehicles out. Parking lot is clean and free of debris. Actual cops appear to always be on scene I have to admit the staff at the service counter is pretty helpful and has NEVER given me a hassle. Staff in electrical and lumber not so helpful. But it is a box warehouse so what do you expect. I am glad there is an improvement place so close to us here. Not great... but not terrible either...

Very disappointed with my experience at Home Depot. I bought 22 bags of cement and asked for help loading them, but was told they only assist if you purchase more than 25 bags. Because of this “25+ rule,” I had to pull the cement off the shelves and load everything myself. This makes no sense for a store that sells heavy construction materials and claims to support contractors. Poor customer service and an exhausting experience. I expected much better.

This place is phenomenal. I typically go to the Emeryville home depot but needed a specific item that was available in the Oakland home depot.The oakland home depot is brighter, cleaner, more organized and calmer and FULL of people that are interested in helping you. I had a sale associate that helped me through the whole process of obtaining an item that required a lift to get.She helped me check out and then she also walked me out of the store and had found another associate to help lift the item into my car. Hands down the best experience I've ever had at home.Depot highly recommend. Bonus if you get to work with Angela - she rocks.
