The Home Depot

I stopped by the Home Depot in Pearland, TX and had an extremely frustrating and unsafe experience. First, I needed help getting 2x8x16 lumber from the third shelf. I asked an associate for assistance and was told they were too busy, but that they could “bring me a ladder.” That left me in a position where I ended up climbing up and pulling down 16 heavy boards myself—something that should have been handled safely with proper equipment and staff support. The bigger issue happened during loading. I purchased about $1,200 in lumber along with two pallets of 80-lb Quikrete. I then waited roughly 30 minutes for a manager to open the gate. When loading finally started, the forklift operator appeared inexperienced and caused multiple problems: He damaged my truck bumper by trying to push one

Had a great experience when I went to purchase what I needed. Kimberly was so sweet and very helpful with my needs. She went over and beyond to help me out. I have been coming to this Home Depot since February of 2003. Though the staff has changed many times over the years, one thing that has never changed is the excellent customer service instilled in each and every employee. They have always gone above and beyond to assist me with any project I am working on. I rarely need to return items, but, today, I needed to return an item and to make a long story short, Sharon at the returns desk made the exchange so much more smooth than I anticipated it would be. Just had a gas range installed that I ordered online and the installers did not push it back against the wall - left it out about 2". When I asked about it they just said it was an issue with the new range and they could not do anything about it. They left a card with a telephone number to call. I immediately called and waited for 10 minutes and when someone answered they said they would transfer me to the right department. I then waited another 10 minutes and then the line dropped. I decided I would call the appliance dept at my local Home Depot. I had to call three times before I got someone, who told me the person I needed to talk to was not available and that they would have the person call me back. No one called me back so I called several times in the next two days and never go
