The Home Depot

A couple things, one, if you want a Home Depot all to yourself going to this store anytime after 8pm is magical. I just purchased a farm nearby and have been here about once a day for several weeks. All the staff is very friendly and always asking if they could help. I typically prefer Lowe’s for pricing but I had a bad experience with the Port Charlotte Lowe’s and will just stick to this store because the people are worth it. Extra shoutout to Bob in the back cutting wood. What a great human.

My husband came to purchase a Makita drill at Home Depot, and the box had already been opened. He politely asked for a discount, but the store manager was rude and didn’t even take the time to listen. It’s very frustrating because many products at Home Depot appear to be opened and then returned by customers, yet they are placed back on the shelf and sold as new. Customers should not be paying full price for items that have clearly been opened. The manager who was working this morning handled the situation very unprofessionally. She needs proper customer service training, because this is not the right way to treat paying customers.

This is one of the smaller Home-Depots in the area but don't let its size fool you, best store ever!!! All of the employees are the best, Red in the garden department is a treasure trove of information, nicest person, just like every one at the store. Highly recommend this little corner of the world over some of the larger stores.

I just want to say the staff here is amazing. A few weeks ago, I did curbside pickup and two employees came out to help. I had bought a big Christmas Goofy, and what really stood out to me was how accepting and encouraging one of the employees was toward her coworker, who appeared to be on the spectrum. As a mom of a child with autism, this truly touched my heart. It made me so happy to see someone so kind and understanding, cheering him on and treating him with patience and respect. It reminded me that there are still people who genuinely care about others.

Inside the store is usually good, but outside services always lacks. We purchased a washing machine on 12/26/25 that was needed quickly. The sales person stated it would be delivered on 12/30/2025. The Home Depot preparation email stated that we would receive a delivery message the night before and 15 minutes before delivery. We didn’t receive the washing machine or any messages as stated in their email. On 12/31 we received a message that the delivery was rescheduled for 1/5/26. We called the delivery dept. and they didn't have an explanation for the delay, but said that no one was home on 12/30. We were home all day waiting for delivery that never happened or attempted. Obviously, the delivery people lied. Again, no messages the day of delivery.
