The Home Depot

This is our local home Depot. So we're here quite often. It's typical to find a short line, but it usually moves pretty quick. I'm not a fan of self-checkout. Usually there will be an associate to help. People are friendly. Store is well stocked. Parking can be atrocious. They're doing the best of what they've got in this shopping center. What they do excellent at is this first Saturday of the month kid project. That's why you're getting five stars HD. Keep it up!

I shop at the Home Depot off Strickland Road in Raleigh pretty regularly, and it is a solid, dependable store. The layout is clean and easy to navigate, and most items are well stocked. Lumber quality is typical for a big box store, meaning you still need to sort through boards, but that is expected and not an issue unique to this location. The garden section is usually in good shape, especially during the main planting seasons. What really stands out here is the staff. When you find someone on the floor, they tend to be friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, especially the tradespeople. Andrew and Archie in particular have been consistently helpful and clearly know their stuff. Just wanted to thank Dave Feuer along with Martin the night manager and Chris the morning manager for all their help, insight and assistance to obtain a generator prior to the big storm. After making multiple visits and “camping out” at the Home Depot in N. Raleigh off Strickland Rd, I was finally able to source a generator at 6am this morning. I have shopped at Home Depot for 40 years and it is all because they hire knowledgeable and helpful staff that truly care about people and exceptional customer service is routine. Special thanks to Dave who texted with me throughout the last two days (even when he was not at work) to help with my situation. Do not buy anything from Home Depot. I bought a washer in November. It still has not been delivered. Many broken promises. No calls from them until I said cancel the order. Manager said he could not cancel the order until the washer was back in the warehouse...he could not tell me when that would be. And all that crap just to have washer delivered. Imagine the fun when you try to get the washer serviced. Will never buy anything from Home Depot again. Never. I have a Costco card and will be buying a washer from them...

I’m usually a fan of Home Depot and more commonly had good service when I needed. Two weeks ago, I needed a single sheet of half inch sheet rock. Having only a crossover SUV I don’t have the room for a full sheet. I asked if they could just cut it in half and they gladly did that for me. On Tuesday, November 4 I returned to purchase a 5/8 piece of sheet rock for a ceiling repair. I asked for help from a guy standing at the pro desk about getting somebody to help me pull a sheet down and cut it in half. The guy looked at me and said we don’t do that anymore. We’ll sell you a knife and a tape measure though. I noted that this was just done less than two weeks ago for me by the helpful staff there. He said no. So this senior citizen had to roll out a 5/8 8 foot piece of sheet rock, whic
