The Home Depot

I went in the store to buy $4000.00 in bathroom items for remodel my vanity and faucets. The team member who helped didn't have answers, could only look at products on their website, couldn't answer questions about those products and was basically clueless. I ended up leaving the store, called to share my feedback with the manager who again acted as if she could care less. Congrats poor service = lost customer. And as evidence of the leadership not caring you can tell they don't even care to respond when you leave negative reviews.

Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Kevin, a manager at Home Depot who was visiting from out of town (I wish I could remember the town). From the moment he approached us, he was unbelievably personable, attentive, and genuinely eager to help us find everything we needed. What truly set Kevin apart was how he went above and beyond in a way that many people might consider small—but absolutely isn’t. He took the time to speak directly to both my son and my daughter, making them feel seen and included. Kids often get overlooked in situations like this, and that simple act spoke volumes about his character and professionalism. Kevin should receive every accolade possible. Jacob was amazingly helpful, patient and kind. I'd come here just for the people alone. Having a welcoming team to advise when learning what's needed for my do it yourself is priceless and so much better then AI or YouTube alone. Especially in getting the right tools or items. The Home Depot Christmas collection is a masterclass in holiday minimalism and a test of marital strength. When I saw the majestic 20-foot inflatable snowman online, I envisioned a winter wonderland; what I got was a giant, sad yoga ball that needed nine steel rebar stakes to prevent it from achieving liftoff in a light breeze. Setting up the artificial tree, which allegedly requires "zero fluffing," felt like I was assembling a low-budget scarecrow with an aggressive amount of plastic branches. The instructions, clearly written by someone who has never actually put up a tree, were an exercise in creative interpretation. We will be shopping at this Homedepot from now on. Monday I was trying to find a few different things for my husband and my son was not having it. He was very cranky and being loud and I was so embarrassed and just wanted to be out as soon as I could. I was helped by two ladies, Natalie and Kris. They both were so helpful and walked me around both walking off and coming back with items I was looking for. It took so much stress out of a very overwhelming mom moment.
