I have been a loyal Home Depot customer for years and will continue to be. I am leaving one star only to bring attention to this issue, otherwise, Home Depot otherwise deserves five stars. The growing number of locked products has become extremely frustrating. I understand theft is a serious problem, but having to find an associate, wait for cabinets to be opened, and often be escorted to checkout turns a quick visit into a hassle. 9 out of 10 times, I end up forgetting the item altogether. This has directly affected my purchasing habits. If an item is locked, I now plan ahead and order it online instead. In many cases it is a lot cheaper and arrives within 24 hours. I do not mind paying more in store for convenience and urgency, but if that convenience is removed, there is little reason

I experienced very poor follow through on getting an item pulled from stock and held for me. I spoke with an assistant manager who directed someone to set things aside for me. But when I showed up at the store, they weren't there.

Got there early and found lots of available parking places. Greeted at the door and given a shopping cart. Lots of available sales staff. Received great help and advice in buying a refrigerator.
