The Home Depot

No checkout lanes open. Zero. Every register is self-checkout only. Fine. Not my favorite, but whatever. I start scanning my items myself. All 37 of them. Meanwhile, three employees are standing around doing absolutely nothing. No help offered. No “Hey, need a hand?” Nothing. Then, and this is the part that really takes the cake, one employee finally approaches me. Not to help. Not to open a lane. Not to speed things up. But to ask: “Are you using a Home Depot card?” Seriously? So let me get this straight. No staffed checkout. No assistance while I’m doing your job for you. But someone can pop over to check a box on a mandatory script. Mission accomplished, I guess. If I’m required to self-checkout, then at least pretend customer service still exists. Home Depot in Sherwood. Very quiet and not busy. Found a couple of items but needed assistance with two items. No employees around so approached cashier who was chatting with another employee. Waited until they realized I needed help. I told them what I was looking for and they told me to walk down an aisle and he would call for someone to help me. No one showed up. Two employees with no customers and they could not be bothered. Going to Ace Hardware - great service at Ace.

Been a loyal HD Pro member for years and have funded multiple remodels solely through them. I received a defective Whirlpool cooktop bought thru HD online, but the local HD would not support me in returning it or even getting a store credit after proving it was a defective appliance. The HD online gal said she "couldn't believe the manager at the local store wouldn't take care of me." Well, believe it, they just say with a smug attitude that they understand my situation, but their is nothing they can do. Store manager's name is Becky fyi...and she sent Amanda to do her dirty work when I showed up in the store (after being on the phone with various people for 3 hours). I don't buy that they can't at least do a store credit. So now I'm stuck with a defective $1,050 cooktop. I am canceling my

Went into to store on the day after Christmas. We were able to find knowledgeable help. Roy was the best, he helped with everything we needed. This store is always clean and the staff I have interacted with are always friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Thank you.

Sherwood Home Depot! If you live down 99W you know, that is the only Home Depot for anyone in Newberg, Dundee, McMinnville, Etc. they have a large location with good inventory. No tool rental center, but the staff are nice and friendly. One of the best home Depot stores I’ve been to for easy parking. Paint department is right near the front entrance across from customer service. The garden center is well taken care of and when I go here, I know I can always get the job done.
