The Home Depot

A palatial and well stocked Home Depot but it’s quite overpriced compared to online options, and many products are locked behind anti-theft barricades. The parking lot is truly enormous. Could be kept in better shape but no question they’ve got inventory! Staff fairly helpful as well. No complaints there. Definitely a New York premium applied as opposed to others I’ve seen nationwide.

I had ordered items amounting to over $1000+ for pick up. When I got there the customer service wasnt any help. I was told that my items were in que to collect. I had to wait almost 3 hours for anyone to help me and to no avail. I had to fetch my own items which took another 45 minutes. I will NEVER shop here again. I would give this store ZEROOOOO STARS if I was able. Worst experience ever!!! 👎👎👎👎👎

We visited this location for the monthly kids workshop. It was their last summer workshop, so they made it extra special with music, face painting and ice treats. Nicest workshop event we have attended. And the cherry on top was all the nice staff. We bought a few items at the garden center and the cashier there was lovely. The security woman even asked if we needed help crossing the busy parking lot. Thank you for a nice visit!

I visited the store this past Saturday, and to my surprise, I had a great experience! I wasn’t planning to buy anything, but I was greeted by associate Elaine, who kindly asked if I needed help and invited me to check out new products. She even pointed out some items on sale. Elaine was so pleasant that I ended up speaking with Mr. Clark and buying a microwave—along with several other items I hadn’t planned on getting! Both Elaine and Mr. Clark were very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all my questions. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Home Depot and will definitely return again!

They discontinued my kitchen one month after I bought it and it went down to half the price and they wouldn’t honor the price. I needed more pieces and waited 6 months for them to arrive to finish the kitchen and they charged me the $200 delivery fee and still full price. I bought $5000 worth of materials to do my house plus the kitchen and they don’t give a DAMN about you or how they treat you. Never again will I go to Home Depot! Mine was the store in Elmont.
