The Home Depot

Rudest customer service I've experienced at any home depot. And the corporate policies no longer reflect a consumer focus, just pure greed. They used to have some the industries best consumer return policies, now they use algorithms to try and remove responsibility and treat their customers like criminals. I just wanted to return a vacuum received as a gift, store credit is fine. But no, "the computer says no". They can track return history, I've barely returned any items across a quarter century of shopping at this store but apparently I am no longer worthy of doing so. I will no longer be shopping at any home depot.

>>> DO NOT PURCHASE LARGE APPLIANCES HERE <<< I purchased a GE profile washer/dryer May 8th, 2025 and paid extra for the professional installation and 3 year protection plan. We left for the weekend to attend a wedding shortly after it was installed and returned to a flooded basement. Our plumber identified that the washer/dryer was the culprit, and a faulty installation stripped one of the plastic connections causing a slow leak (which we didn’t immediately notice since it started behind the unit). We called Home Depot who referred us to GE for a repair / replacement. GE has been to our home now 3 times over the course of 6 weeks, ordered 3 sets of parts, and has fixed absolutely nothing - their repair person actually dented the unit and the leak has broken it completely (no heat in drye

I contacted Home Depot customer service via the website chat and reached Sheng. She listened to my concern and attempted to get a manager from the Watchung store on the phone to bridge me in with him/her. She tried twice and the service desk hung up on her both times so she said she would get a manager on the phone and call me back. Well, it is over five hours since that promise and no one has called me back. I guess customer service is no longer a priority at Home Depot.

The guys in lumber are so nice and very helpful. I always have a good experience every time I go to this store. The staff is great!

this review is for the watchung store employee VIC. home depot, give this man a raise!! HE DESERVES IT. he was patient, composed, and took his time to find a product that was lost in the store. there was $1000 worth of inventory unmarked which he found and took the time to get properly shelved and labeled. other employees did NOTHING except turn my husband away. i went in and fortunately found the right employee to help. management listen to this message and give him recognition.
