The Home Depot

Have absolutely had enough of this store. I’ve spent over 20k here in the last year and a half and almost every time I order online it’s hell. They don’t update order status online after a delay, or I have to go pick my own online order at the store once I arrive, I’m guessing because some of it was too heavy for the people working there. I will be driving an extra 20 minutes to go to Lowe’s, or go to Hammond from now on. Completely clueless and unprofessional hardware store.

Brittany at the front service counter for online pickup is by far the worst employee I have ever ran into in my life as far as customer service... I didn't have my phone on me with the order number but I definitely had my driver's license and I know you can look up the order by name rather than just doing that she wanted to argue with me and tell me what the email said.. she clearly does not like her job and I highly recommend putting her in the back doing something where customers are not around her.

I went to buy paint and they always ask what type of paint I want, but this lady did not. I was talking to someone while I waited for her to put in the computer what I wanted for color, brand, sheen. Then she skipped the part where they are supposed to ask what type of paint I wanted and just chose one and mixed it. I wanted one that is all in one where I did not need primer or multiple coats. Now I've spent more money than what I needed to, to buy more paint to do multiple coats. This has been very frustrating. I've never not been asked what type of paint I wanted.

Like all home depots and other stores, things seem to getting a little expensive. Sometimes things are out of stock, but generally this is a pretty good store, nothing out of the ordinary. Staff seems friendly for the most part. One good thing about this place is it's easy to get in and out of, the way the parking lot and location in the store is set up you won't have to late, long and 5:00 traffic, and it's an easy place to maneuver a trailer picking up large items.

Looking for a small amount of silver colored paint and the only thing available was a quart of metallic silver. It's only a small project, I guess I'll have to go to Michael's. Why is it that you can't buy a solid core door as a slab unless you order it and want to pay $500? You can buy solid core doors if you want the frame and everything for $250, but the only door you can buy off the shelf is a hollow core door if you want just the slab. Very stupid! Disappointed!!! Why don't they carry such a thing?
