The Home Depot

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Home Depot in Wyomissing PA that left me quite disappointed. During my visit, I encountered a manager who was unexpectedly rude and dismissive. I approached them with a simple question regarding a product, hoping for some guidance. Instead of offering assistance, the manager responded with a curt tone and seemed visibly irritated by my inquiry. What was most disheartening was the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism I expected from a managerial position. It’s important for customers to feel valued and respected, especially when seeking help. This experience not only affected my perception of that particular store but also made me hesitant about future visits.

I went to Home Depot with my 3-year-old son to get a few things for my power washer. While I was comparing products and playing with him, a young employee showed up, didn’t offer help, and just stood at the end of the aisle watching us, which felt uncomfortable. At the self-checkout, another employee approached me but didn’t ask if I needed help — instead, she looked over my cart closely, almost like she thought I was hiding something. She didn’t touch anything, but the way she looked felt intrusive and judgmental. The new Staff should be better trained in customer service. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable and unfairly treated. As a frequent customer, I expected better treatment.

I visited this store to look at barn doors and was immediately greeted at customer service by a charming gentleman named Frank. He pointed me in the direction of the product I was looking for. As I looked at the doors there was no one back there, or they were busy. But along came a forklift, he was picking something up..but HE STOPPED to see if I needed help. Top notch customer service in my book. He told me he had to drop off what he was picking up but he would come back to help me. His name was Aaron. Aaron was SOO HELPFUL! He took the time to answer my questions and complete my order for me. Truly the BEST!

9/5/25 1:05 pm- I was unhappy with the customer service provided by the cashier (Wildalyn) who was busy chatting with her coworker near the cashier. She was not happy that we went to her line to pay. We ask for help to load the 2 heavy toilets into our truck and she said, she will call someone. Then she forgot to give me my items in the bag. I had to return for my items and showed her my receipt. I went back inside the store and asked Wildalyn again (who I found chatting with her co- worker by the cashier) to call someone for help with the 2 heavy toilets for the second time. We had been waiting outside for help. In I finally spoke with another male sales associate who was able to help me and my husband load the 2 heavy toilets into our truck. I complained to the manager today (Shaw)

Great customer service here. Sales associate Joshua / Jamar / or Jayson I believe was very helpful.
