Thermo Direct replaced a 30 year old 2 ton gas furnace and AC unit with a new 18 SEER Goodman mini split ducted heat pump, designed by Daikin. This is no mini - significantly larger than expected. And the Daikin technology seems superior. Eddie, the Thermo Direct rep who designed the system sold me by saying he has the same unit at his house. It is NOT CHEAP, and he offered 2 estimates 25% lower, but this unit is the cat's meow. I financed it through Thermo Direct. Israel and his partner installed it in one day and it passed Cary inspection with flying colors. I have seen thousands of mini splits installed in Asia and Africa, but they are rare in the US. This ducted unit included an air handler that was larger than the old one, so it had to be installed horizontally instead of vertically

From the moment he arrived, he was courteous. He thoroughly inspected our unit, made sure everything was running efficiently before he left. What stood out most was how prompt he was in advising about a water leak under our home and advising that he could contact their plumber to come out and do the job. We truly appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend Thermo Direct to anyone needing HVAC services.
