Thomas Michaels Design Remodel

We hired Thomas Michaels Design Remodel to finish our very dark, dank basement. The space is now completely unrecognizable! Instead of cobwebs, outdated electrical work and shoddy DIY "walls" from a previous owner, we now have a beautiful, functional space with the bonus of a half bath. Their attention to detail is obvious; all the finishes are top notch. Mike, Ryan and Meagan took our rough dream and made it an amazing reality. They finished on time and on budget, an anomaly in today's world. We are so pleased with the job and will be asking them back to tackle our main bathroom.

Several years ago I was lucky enough to find Thomas Michaels to help with a major kitchen remodel that I was running from afar. As a designer, I appreciated their meticulous attention to detail and quality control. As a customer, I was thrilled with their communication and terrific crew of subcontractors. Last fall they came to the rescue for a less "fun" job, rebuilding an old shed addition. They managed to work within our tight timeline and modest budget to deliver a wonderful product. They are friendly, creative and generous, and I can't recommend them more highly!

Tom Anderson was exceptional! He was professional, always on time and very patient with me. He answered all of my questions and eased my mind with any concerns I had. He created a plan that was unique for my small kitchen and utilized every square inch of space. My contractor, Major Construction from Bridgewater, created a custom cabinet in a wall and Tom worked with him to get the matching doors, and trim. They are reasonably priced and have great quality kitchen cabinets for any budget. I have a 48" x 72" island and the top had a design defect when it was installed. He arranged to have the manufacturer come out and look at the defect. The manufacturer told me it was a natural design flaw and would not honor a replacement. We had a great experience working with Meagan from Thomas Michaels. She helped us design and order cabinetry for a kitchen + 3 bathrooms for a remodel in Provincetown. She also helped us secure shower tile (Daltile) at a cheaper price than other local vendors. Throughout the process, Meagan was responsive and helpful and brought great design guidance to ensure the end result met our needs. The cabinets arrived ahead of schedule (since this was part of a larger remodel, we had our own contractor do the install). She partnered directly with our contractor when needed and quickly addressed issues when they arose. We would definitely work with Meagan and Thomas Michaels again and highly recommend.

We chose Thomas Michaels to completely renovate our kitchen and replace our laminate flooring with hardwood on our main floor. We're ecstatic with the final result. The company held high standards for their subcontractors, and every subcontractor was a master of their craft. The project manager did an incredible job of staying on top of countless people and projects, and was always accommodating to changes in project scope. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely be calling them again when we're ready to start our next house project. If there is one area I'd call out to improve, its in the initial design meeting and follow-up communications before the project start date.
