Not sure what to think. Walked in, saw a range I thought was okay, an employee walked up said excuse me, took a photo of the serial number plate. Took off the price tag and walked away. Just left me standing there. Must have been a bad day.

Avoid the headache! Came out to fix my dryer and in the process, accidentally broke my washer door. I understand things happen but they did nothing to render the situation. The owner said he would come back the next day between 1:30-5 and never ended up coming out. Next day he claims he was too busy with other calls when we should have been priority since they broke our washer that we could not use. Following day he said he couldn’t make it out either and would drop off some money for our troubles. NEVER SHOWED. I couldn’t believe this was happening. Our washing machine broke down for the last time. I found the big box stores only wanted to drive you online to complete a purchase (and hunt for a store that has the machine in stock) and were unable to respond quickly to our need for delivery of a new machine. We decided on an American-made brand and Thompson was listed as a dealer. They provided forthright, knowledgeable responses to my questions--no shady hidden fees or upselling. They happened to have the machine I wanted in stock, and delivered the same day. I recommend using this independent business for their expertise and service. We purchase a high end speed queen washer 7 years ago. The service and warranty was good for the warranty period of 5 years, but now need to pay for service. Not very responsive to schedule and once scheduled appointment, they were two hours late. I called and they still hadn't left store yet. I expected better from the brand...bearing going out in 7 years, Ican live with that, but rusting exterior, not so much.

I must admit that after reading the reviews of this place, I was not sure I should buy from them. I wanted to buy local and I needed a new stove, so I thought I would give it a try. The owner was very nice, he matched the Home Depot price, and he made sure that it was delivered when I wanted it. He also called to let me know what was going on and, when they were delayed on delivery, he called to let me know. I have not had experience with the service end but I know from experience that you are only as good as your help and I know it's difficult to find good help, especially in Woodstock. I would probably buy again from them.
