Tip Top Chimney Sweep

They were very professional from scheduling to inspection and installation of parts. Kevin was very knowledgeable and was very honest to my wife about the condition of our fireplace. We had another big name company from Charlotte come do an inspection when we purchased our home and the wanted $6k to basically rebuild the entire chimney! Thank you to Martha for being so pleasant and treating us like family. That is more important to me than costs. I would and will recommend Tip Top Chimney Sweep to anyone and everyone!!!

Tip Top sourced and installed a pre-owned wood stove insert when we couldn't find one anywhere. Their customer service and expertise were amazing. They trained us on proper use of the fan and catalytic, checked in later to see how things were going, and made sure we knew how to safely get the best performance out of the insert. And I don't know how common this is, but almost the entire staff has worked for fire and emergency services! We felt confident about their commitment to fire safety.

We had an appointment scheduled and day of, no one showed up. When I called to ask if anyone was coming, I was told I would get a call back. No one ever called back. I tried calling several times and left a voicemail, and never heard back. Unfortunately, there aren’t many places near me who service my area so I was disappointed in the lack of follow through.

We used this company in Nov 2022. They did a good job cleaning the chimney. Our chimney cap, which they installed originally, blew off during a wind storm. I have been trying to get a scheduled date to replace the cap since January, it is now May. Kevin claims he is “covered up” and has no help. He didn’t return my calls. I tried one last time to get the work done. He told me to call Charlotte or Columbia and hung up the phone.

Visited childhood home during holiday. Mom told me how they came in and unnecessarily took her Franklin stove apart. Attempted to pick it up and couldn’t, SCRATCHED her marble underneath that we installed in college. Feels like they did it “their way” and didn’t want to listen to how to do it from an older woman. Shame on them for taking advantage and leaving it worse than it was. Do NOT trust. Do NOT leave them alone. Do NOT use without taking video/photo of them doing work. (I’ve never written a google review before but felt I had to)
