Trees For Houston

I've participated in several free tree give-aways because I have acreage and I'm trying to landscape the property. Signup is easy and the process is always smooth. You just stay in your car, pop open the trunk and volunteers load the trees for you. I have received trees as tall as 6 or 7 feet, but recently picked up pecan trees that were basically seedlings less than 10 inches tall. All in all I love this organization and encourage people to donate so that more trees can be made available for our city.

I attended the January 17th tree giveaway. I picked up two trees. There was a registration process a couple days before, which made check in and pick up very easy. I arrived about an hour before, and even though the person in front me of and I got skipped, there was no shortage of smiles from volunteers and trees to giveaway. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience

The volunteers that they hired this morning are very undelightful to talk to. Especially the two fifty year old looking women that everyone encounters first and the young lady handing out the slips.

Lovely little trees. First time experience. Get there early and be polite to wait. A long line of vehicles, but the volunteers have such an efficient system in place, once the line is moving it goes very fast. These are FREE TREES. These are volunteers, kind and generous people, donating their time. We are so grateful to have been allowed to participate. Some people are not so grateful, not kind. The people in front of us held up the whole line, dissatisfied with the size of their trees and complaining to the volunteers. These are not nursery trees, but they were healthy trees. In pots. And they were FREE. We love our little trees and will nurture them for their beauty and the planet. We lost many trees to the derecho. So happy to have youngsters to replace our lost ones. They are tiny. B

My husband came home and told me he won a tree at a sports event. I thought it was kinda weird but took the morning off to have it planted. It is absolutley beautiful. The people who delivered and planted it were very nice and professional. I was very impressed and we love our new tree! Thank you!
