V. Nanfito Roofing & Siding

So many things wrong. The chimney problems are frightening because 17 units were asked to make sure their CO detectors were functioning before turning furnaces on. It will likely take a month or two to get the chimneys Nanfito damaged repaired. 87 needs to be redone. Nanfito crews deliberately damaged vents to speed up roofing. We have reason to believe Nanfito was aware of this all along. A small sampling is shown in the photo. Becht Engineering had oversight responsibility on many of the buildings, were very expensive, and missed everything. All 16 roofs need to be replaced. Siding is buckling and even falling off all over the complex. A GAF rep was called in to inspect roofs about 1/2 way through and advised the corrections taking place were normal and everything is fine...not to worry.

It was a pleasure working everyone from Nanfito. We had severe hail damage to our roof and siding. Walter Kolb was our liaison for our insurance company. The crew was professional and speedy with all they had to do. We had them do a few improvements like two windows and gutter guards. All work was completed in less than a week. I would highly recommend this firm.

Nanfito Roofing and Becht Engineering delivered dangerously poor work on our condo project. Vents were left unconnected or venting into attics, chimneys exposed to weather, and makeshift fixes created leak, fire, and carbon monoxide risks. Sixteen brand-new roofs already need replacement, framing was redone, siding is failing, and warranties are now in doubt. If you’re considering these companies, be extremely cautious: hire your own inspector, demand strict contract terms, and do not assume oversight or warranties will protect you. Our costly experience shows how easily corners can be cut at the customer’s expense. Perhaps single family homes is in their wheelhouse. Larger projects - multi-unit - seem to be outside their wheelhouse.

We chose Nanfito due to their full time Insurance Specialist (Walter) who assisted us and guided us through the complex insurance claim process. Ice dams got the better of our front gutter, pulling it away from the house and taking the fascia board with it. I explained the problem to Joe, and he came out that day, assessed the work to be done as emergent, and expedited the work order. When his crew arrived, they expertly repaired the soffit and replaced the damaged fascia boards. New gutters were installed just before a blizzard. The crews were knowledgeable, prompt, and pleasant.
