Valkyrie Fencing Club

This place is awesome! They teach all three weapons and everyone is friendly, the coaches know their stuff. They can help you get into fencing at a national level. There's a variety of students at different levels. I started 1 year ago (roughly) and i can't get enough. Valkyrie fencing is a great place to learn fencing or to hang out with people. Although they will make you do what you signed up for so don't get too distracted lol.

It’s really hard to imagine a better place for my daughter to learn fencing but also discipline, training her mental and physical fitness. Julie’s resume speaks volumes (Utah Hall of Fame), but what speaks even louder is the confidence and resilience each of these kids gain after spending time in her program. Valkyrie Fencing is what every parent dreams of finding for their child.

This is an incredible fencing club. Julie, the owner, is a 6-time world champion in BOTH foil and saber, as well as being the first woman to earn master in all three weapons (foil, saber, and epee). Julie is joined by other impressive coaches like Hender, Cameron, and Dayana, who are also incredible fencers. I took the beginning course and fell in love with the sport. It's not only a great physical workout, but it's also mentally challenging, which I really like. I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested, whether it's just for fun or if you want to get into competing.

I've been fencing at Valkyrie for around five years now and I've loved it. Coach Julie is a little strict, but in my experience, nice coaches don't push you to become the best that you can. Fencing has also helped me overcome some of my social anxiety and improved my confidence. A lot. I think that if you want to learn a sport without having to fully commit like you do in football or ballet, fencing here at Valkyrie is perfect.

The coach is quite fantastic and extremely helpful! She goes an extra mile to help students succeed! Her passion for fencing is contagious! The students are so friendly and hard working! My daughter thoroughly enjoys the classes and is very excited to participate in every single session!!
