The big fibs the previous owner of my house told me were: 1) No problem with parking on the street, and; 2) You'll have a nice dry basement. Parking on my block is tough, year round. Very tough. And my basement, well, I used to dread every rainfall no matter how slight. My wife and I used a shopvac, mops and towels to deal with the water coming in. The other issue that arose over time was the need to repair or replace our aging sidewalks. Finally we had enough of patchwork solutions and Brooklyn style searching for parking spaces.
