Vancouver Public Works

We live in an urban area that happens to have a somewhat prominent natural feature nearby (which abuts clean water space). We do what we can to keep the area clean, but there are a lot of visitors, some of whom dump trash. We have it a try and called these folks and asked if they could help, and they said they would get rid of it, and within 48 hours it was gone. We wait until there’s a hazard we can’t remedy until we call, but when we do call, the DPW is professional and responsive. Thanks to VDPW for being awesome. It really feels like we have some of our best neighbors serving the public and that makes for a great community to live in.

We have a drain in the alley behind our house that constantly overflows and floods our yard. I have called the public works team each time this has happened. They are always helpful, super responsive and go above and beyond to fix the problem for us. I cannot express how thankful I am for this wonderful team.

Called and left a message to report a poorly handled road blockage(no detour signs). Called at the end of the day again and the gal who answered told me she had tried to call a few times. I mentioned my phone had no missed calls to which she replied, it went straight to voicemail, which was full....the way she said it made me feel like she was lying. Sure enough, I checked my voicemail. Empty. I called my cell from my work phone-worked no problem. If you are going to lie, lie better. Or better yet, don't lie at all.

Nice try trying to stay off Google reviews. You are a public entity which is a business and should be rated and held accountable by the community and it's users, also this is based on the fact we GIVE you 2 BILLION DOLLARS EVERY YEAR! Here's your star Pretty dishonest hiding behind Google and trying to not be rated. Here's your star! *👎

Communication is nil and they will trespass on your property!
