Varitek Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors

During a recent wind and rainstorm my furnace as well as my computer and all my light bulbs were wiped out by a hot neutral power surge from the Edison transformer in our back yard. My insurance adjuster sent out an investigator who looked at the furnace and determined that our best solution was to replace it. With the temperature in the 40’s I called several Heating and air conditioning companies about having the furnace repaired or replaced. Xavier was the first to schedule an appointment .He was very professional and was even willing to discuss the matter with my adjuster over the phone. I did get two other estimates higher and noncommittal, insisting on seeing all other estimates before offering their own. Xavier is the owner of his company and was extremely honest and professional. Run away! Xavier and Varitek have been nothing but a disappointment. We contacted Varitek Air back on 08/29/20 to fix our AC because it wasn't working. A technician came to our house to service the AC and had to take the motor with him to get a replacement. He told us he'd be back in about a week to fix our AC unit. After several weeks of calling Varitek and leaving voicemails I finally got a hold of Xavier when I called the emergency number. Xavier made no attempt at apologizing for the lack of communication and told me my AC unit would be fixed the next week. That week came and went with no update or repair. Then I again do the leg work to reach out to Xavier this week to get our AC fixed. He told me they would repair it today so I took work off and waited. After waiting, I then

Varitek was selected by my home warranty company to inspect my AC which was blowing warm air. After scheduling a first appointment, multiple follow ups were required. For each follow up Varitek would call me only when they had someone in my area expecting me to drop what I was doing and leave work to meet them. I have now been waiting over a month for a follow up visit. Tried multiple times to schedule an appointment no call back. Edit after Varitek response: Varitek closed this work order May 16th. They have not reached out in the last month. Dishonest and poor customer service.

The office scheduled my appointment time via text with immediate responsiveness. Izaath (technician) is professional, knowledgeable, and respectful by entering my home with a face mask and shoe coverings. He answered my many questions with patience and confidence.
