VIP Transport East - United Van Lines Agent

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I moved with United 3 times but this specific 3rd party is terrible. We moved from MD to FL, the movers scratched floors, broke furniture and undersized the truck (shared the truck and the other house, which was oversized). They were supposed to pack my mattresses and they did not bring plastic covers... same with my TVs (only gross blankets). Showed up without tools to deal with furniture. They literally pulled drywall screws rather than unscrewing them and I arrived to my new home with pieces of the previous home! They missed the delivery date on 2/3 of my home and 8 days later they have not given me a delivery date for 1/3 of my belongings. The contract mysteriously disappeared out of my profile. I am writing a review of a move I did in the summer of 2022. It's taken me a long time to write this because the whole process left me actually fuming. I hired these movers because they were associated with Mayflower, and I read for the best moving experiences hire a big company, like Mayflower. Note this company is associated with both United and Mayflower I thought by paying a premium for a brand like Mayflower I would get a low stress experience... NOT. This place is an utter scam. The whole move was ACTUAL HELL. First the estimate was based on a Zoom call. I was moving out of a row home in Baltimore city. I showed the coordinator each room on video and we talked about what furniture would be taken. Ultimately the quoted me around $5,000 for the 1,500 mile trek, and I signed the bid.

My move from Northern Virginia to South Carolina was as smooth and pleasant as a move can be! I was extremely pleased with everyone involved in each step of the operation: the person who gave me the estimate, the four ladies from the packing crew, the three people who loaded my stuff to take it to storage, and the two movers who delivered the stuff. Everybody was friendly, polite, respectful, efficient, and very professional all the way around. Nothing got lost and everything was intact upon delivery! Wow! Finally, I was especially pleased with the flexibility of the smart lady responsible for scheduling. Due to my mistake, I had anticipated the move for a month earlier than scheduled! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Vip Transport East. Every person in the company was a pleasure to work with. They handled my belongings with care and were spot on with our timeline for our move. Our moving coordinator was quick to reply to questions and even called to check in on us during move out, move in and after we had settled. I would definitely use them again and refer my friends and family to them!
