Vogt Visual Arts Center

We accidentally discovered this Tinley Park VOGT visual art center and we were sooooo glad we did! My 9 years old was over the moon with all the trains, trains and more trains!!!!! They had multiple displays of trains all over the place. And it was FREE to visit. The staff was so nice and friendly and most of the trains belong to them where they put it on display for us to see and admire. I love the little details around the trains with Santa, reindeers and if you look closely, you'll see the back to the future car and even Batman and Robin! The young conductor showed us how to operate the toy trains and even let my 9 years old drive it. He had a blast. The thought, time and hard work they put into the display were simply amazing. The Vogue not only let's you display your art work, but has classes during the to improve your talent.

Went there for model train event. They had a g scale, o scale, ho scale, and n scale layouts. The young men that where there where helpful.

Highly recommend. Very easy to submit your artwork on display for monthly art shows. This includes opening nights which are very pleasant and opened to the public several days a week. Ambiance is in an old Victorian home. There are classes held upstairs. Worth visiting admission is free.

Once upon a time, this was a very neat place to be. This was an inclusive environment that held all kinds of events, including art shows for Easter Seals. Then, something changed. They abruptly stopped allowing another transition program to come for job training recently. Apparently they have new owners or management or something, but it's not a place I'd associate with anymore.
