Walter Piano Transport

Walther did an AMAZING job moving my fully-restored 1941 Steinway B grand piano from Southern California to North Carolina. They delivered my piano on time and with no major issues. During the move, a piece of the lid was chipped/damaged. Walter Piano did the right thing and took ownership to make sure that the kid would get properly repaired. They repaired and refinished the piano lid in a timely manner. It looks brand new! I have huge respect for this family-owned business. They are honest and professional. I will personally refer them to my students and friends and would desire to hire them again if I need a piano mover. Thank you, Walter Piano Service!

For truck drivers, delivered a load here, arrived way too early. But that's on me. They open at 9am, checking in is easy and the lady is super kind. Only about an hour to unload. Great job.

PSA: Check with your local piano shop before using this company. I need to move my piano only 40 miles, and Walter quoted me for $2,400 — my local piano shop will move it AND tune it for only $600. Easy to say I won’t be using this company. Hoping to save some folks lots of money here!

Our antique piano was damaged by them looks like is was slide down a concrete wall! They said it is more than 20 years old so it is not their issue. Do not use these clowns! They do not stand behind their work! I expect better when moving a 1886 Steinway. I would have been better off moving it with local movers and paying them to travel across country! This damage happened throught the wrapping that was done!

See below the comment that was first posted, 1.) They claim that I did not have "standing" . They could only talk to my wife! The piano was picked up at my house and my credit card...but that is ok. 2. THEY claim it was picked up Sept 25Th...but that is not when it left MY HOUSE...the agent they hired to pick the piano up was well before Sept 25th. They try to pretend that their responsibility only starts when they take procession. 3.) Now after posting what I posted within HOURS they now say the piano is being released from their procession this Friday to their local agent. 4.) They did not tell my wife who is the local agent. 5.) They did not tell my wife how to contact the local agent 6.) They did not tell my wife when the local agent would deliver! 7.) We Paid One agent...Walter Pian
