Washington Street And Embarcadero West Garage

My brand new car was stolen from this garage, and I’ve found the security here to be completely unreliable. The security staff do nothing to ensure safety, and the emergency call buttons in the garage don’t even work. In any kind of emergency, you can’t count on the garage personnel for help. This place feels unsafe and poorly managed. I strongly advise others to be cautious before parking here.

Parked at Washington Street garage to have secure parking while we had lunch at the Buttercup Diner. 2 hours we returned to find the rear driver's side window was broken out, glass all over the back seat and floor. I had nothing to steal in the car, but it was still broken into. Most frustrating is that the Washington Street "Security" team did nothing but extend their condolences and give me a phone number for the garage management! They have security officers driving around in one-man open vehicles, but nobody was around to prevent this break-in and they didn't help me at all after I reported the problem. In fact they asked me to wait and after 45 minutes of not returning I wasn't able to exit the garage because my paid ticket wasn't enough to make up for the time I waited for Secu

Charged me $6 for 29 minutes. Sign said it was $3 for first hour. No one was around to help correct the charge, and I couldn’t get out without paying. Ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company.

I have parked here every M-F for 3 years and have paid every invoice on time, even when they raised the rate by $30/month for no reason. I went out of town for 2 weeks and asked that they pause my account for this time. They refused and I had to back pay for the 2 weeks I did not park. I asked if they could just credit my account or cancel it and start a new one, but they said that was "impossible" and if I started a new one they would have to charge me a new deposit fee. I said they must have a way to waive the fee and they said there was no way. There is no security here, there is no reason it should cost $100/month, and there is no way they can't credit an account

Clean garage, well lit, convenient location right across from cinema, Jack London square and ferry terminal. But at $8/hour. quite expensive unless you get ferry and merchants validation.
