Waste Connections of Colorado

Highlands Ranch service switched over to company-issued trash cans and we only got one. I mistakenly thought that was all I' was entitled to receive. After 3 weeks, it became painfully obvious that one trash can would not cut it. So I called Waste Connections and I was immediately connected to Noreen who was cheerful and helpfully explained to me that as a Highlands Ranch customer, my service fee included TWO trash cans and recycling!!! And she also said they would no longer collect loose bags left out on the curb so I needed to have them in a trash can. So three trash receptacles it is! Waste Connections will be dropping off the other two trash cans so problem solved. Lesson learned! If there's a problem, call someone and get help! Oh and let me say, we've been customers for 19 year

I’ve had service with them from around 2016/2017 until today. Apparently they feel the need to charge $32 to cancel service, even if you don’t and have never used their cans and are also WELL outside of the initial service contract term length. The customer service representatives claims that all the trash companys charge a similar fee, which a quick internet search shows is false. Aside from a 6 or so month period earlier during my time with them where there were constant problems with pick up, specifically recycling, I don’t have any complaints about their quality of service. That time period can probably be chalked up to a bad driver and it was generally corrected promptly which is why I’ll give them 2 stars versus 1.

This morning I forgot to out my trash on the curb. I immediately called as soon as the trash truck drove past my house and asked if he can come back as the trash is out now. I was told they would charge me $93 to drive past my house. I, of course, said no. The driver drove past my house again 20 minutes later and the trash was out and he did not stop. He had to know that he did not pick it up 20 minutes ago when he drove past. It would have taken him 30 seconds to grab my trash can with his machine and dump it. It’s unbelievable how there is no customer service left. We even tipped him at Christmas hoping that he would feel appreciated. Need help? Try the website that doesn't work, then the chat bot that doesn't work. It will give you a phone number with an unusually rude robot that doesn't work and sends you a text to fill out a web form. The web form then gives you a different phone number that isn't quite as rude, but then it connects you back to the original phone number... and thus the circle of life continues. If they are trying to be a trashy company they are doing a great job. I bet they call me real quick now that I've canceled my payment, though :)

We have had this service 17 days, one of my trash cans was missed. No big deal I call get no answer on the phone, so I send a message. Get a call Wednesday morning saying I’m on the schedule they will be back out to get it…no one shows. Call Thursday morning get voicemail all day send a message. Get a call Friday morning, they are coming out today if they can’t then I’ll get a call. No call, no trash pick up. I call at 4:15 says they are closed even though they don’t close till 5 so I send a message still nothing from no one. I paid for a whole year of service in advance which I found out they also overcharged me for (they gave me a credit for next year 🙄) now I have to wait for them to call me to cancel. Not even a month of service and it’s been this bad.
