Waterloo Electric Service

Dealing with Waterloo was a pleasure. They installed an electric vehicle charger installed at my rental cabin in Stanley. The experience was positive from start to finish. Scheduling the estimate and the job were a snap and Kathy was able to quickly generate an estimate, including the custom work that would have to be performed on the exterior of the cabin. The installation by Jim and Robert went very smoothly and quickly. They were extremely friendly and didn't leave a mess inside the cabin even though it was pouring rain that day. I'd recommend Waterloo for any electrical service!

We called out 3 or 4 different electricians to come out and provide a quote for us to install a new GFCI outlet in our downstairs powder room. Waterloo was the quickest to respond, with Kathy coming out to do the estimate I think the next morning if I recall correctly, and they provided a quote within a day or so, and was fairly priced. It took a bit to schedule because they're busy, but that wasn't necessarily an issue for us. It wasn't a rush project. I spoke with Kate the day before our appointment just to make sure we were still on schedule, and she was able to confirm the time the crew was going to come out (it wasn't an issue for us whether they came earlier or later, but I appreciated the communication). I highly recommend Waterloo Electric. Knowledgeable, professional and just nice people. They spent 3 days at our home doing various electrical projects, including installing a new main panel, wiring for a whole house generator and repairing poor connections. Everything was first rate and the crew was a pleasure to have at our home. You will not be disappointed.

The folks at Waterloo are the best. A tree came down on a Sunday evening and took the power line down and the meter from the house. Short story, between Waterloo and REC, power was restored by midnight. Fair prices, good people, great service!

It appears from other reviews that when this company does provide service these other reviewers are pleased. My experience was the electrician sent announced, “I haven’t seen this before. I don’t know how to do this”. Being honest about that was good. The dishonesty comes in that he then didn’t relay to the company that he was not qualified to meet the needs of the service call and I was fully charged as if he had provided service when none was. The owner chose not to address the situation. So if you’d like to pay for service not provided, then this company will be accommodating in fleecing you.
